Data controller
The data controller for SADUAT is [Operator legal name, address, VAT / tax ID]. Privacy contact: privacy@saduat.com. Controller identity and DPO details will be finalised prior to public launch.
No default AI-model training on your data
By default, we do not use your dreams, voice recordings, transcripts, birth information or private maps to train AI models. Any future model-improvement programme will require a separate, voluntary and revocable opt-in. See AI Transparency.
Who we are
SADUAT (the "Service") is an experimental social platform for recording, interpreting, and sharing dreams. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
SADUAT is currently in beta. Features, data formats, and storage policies may change as the platform evolves.
What we collect
To operate SADUAT, we collect and process the following categories of data:
- Email address — for authentication, account recovery, and essential service communication.
- Username and display name — to identify you within the community.
- Dream text — the dream descriptions you write or dictate.
- Voice recordings — when you use voice capture; audio is transcribed to text and may be discarded after transcription.
- Dream images — AI-generated images derived from your dream content.
- Dream movies — AI-generated short videos derived from your dream content.
- Community comments — replies you post on public dreams.
- Likes and interactions — engagement signals used for matches and feed ranking.
- Analytics and usage data — pages visited, features used, and basic event telemetry.
- Device information — browser type, operating system, language, and approximate location derived from IP.
How we use your data
- To create and secure your account.
- To generate AI interpretations, images, and dream movies you request.
- To match your dreams with semantically similar dreams from other users.
- To display content you choose to share publicly to the community.
- To monitor stability, debug issues, and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse.
Public vs. private dreams
Every dream has a privacy setting that you control when you create it:
- Private — visible only to you.
- Anonymous — visible in the public feed and search, without your username attached.
- Public — visible in the public feed and search, attached to your username.
When you publish a dream as public or anonymous, other users may view, search, comment on, and interact with that content. You can change a dream's privacy or delete it at any time.
AI processing
Dream text, transcribed audio, and prompts you submit are sent to AI providers via our AI gateway to generate interpretations, images, and movies. These providers process content under contractual agreements and do not use your content to train their public foundation models.
Analytics
SADUAT may collect anonymous, aggregated analytics events (e.g. page views, sign-ups, button clicks) to understand product usage and improve the experience. We do not send dream text, private dream content, comment text, voice recordings, or email addresses to analytics tools. Events carry only safe metadata such as user id, event name, page path, and a dream id when relevant.
When analytics consent is required by law, the consent banner lets you accept or decline analytics. If you decline, no analytics provider is loaded and only essential telemetry needed to operate the Service is collected.
Your rights (GDPR and equivalent)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar protections, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion ("right to be forgotten").
- Request a portable export of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in the "Contact" section below.
Data export and account deletion
You can request an export of your account data — including your dreams, interpretations, comments, and uploaded media — by contacting our support address.
You can request permanent account deletion from your account settings or by contacting support. Deletion removes your profile, dreams, comments, likes, and generated media within a reasonable processing period. Backups containing residual data are rotated out on a routine schedule.
Retention
We retain account data while your account is active. After deletion, residual data may persist in encrypted backups until those backups expire.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on user content. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
SADUAT is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA, where applicable). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to this policy
As SADUAT is in active beta development, this policy may change. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you through the app.
